Info for Sponsors

We provide the performers and the theater. You provide hospitality and the audience. Together, it can be a life changing experience for all of us.

If your congregation chooses to sponsor Tent Troupe, we arrive in your community in the morning and set up on a grass lot. Grounds must be level, cleared and have an entrance for trucks (sorry, we cannot set up on paved lots.) You provide drinking water, ice and bathroom facilities. We bring our own electricity, seats and everything else needed to make two live shows happen in your town.

We perform an afternoon matinee filled with dancing, stories and folktales that will make the child in everyone smile. The evening performance is entertainment for the whole family. Each show is intended to convey Christian ideals and challenge us to examine how we live in community. Past shows include: “You Can’t Take It With You”, “Godspell”, and “Fools”. You provide an evening meal for our Troupe. We LOVE pot-lucks where we can meet our sponsors and taste all those homemade dishes, too!

Our visit to your community ends in the early hours of the next morning. We’ll be packed and leave your lot cleaner than before and then it’s off to the next town! Our sponsors are churches, associations and other groups that want to reach out to their community during the summer. We can’t wait to join you!
